Question: What Is the difference between extra virgin olive oil and virgin olive oil? Why don’t you have virgin olive oil?
Answer: According to the International Olive Oil Council standards, both virgin and extra virgin olive oils are extracted by using only mechanical methods. That means no heat or solvents are allowed during olive oil producing process. The only difference between extra virgin olive oil and virgin olive oil is the acidity level. If the olive oil has acidity that is less than or equal to 0,8% then it is extra virgin olive oil. Virgin olive oil has acidy between 0,8% and 2,0%. The lower the acidity, the better the taste of olive oil. This is the answer to the second question. That is why we only offer you extra virgin olive oil.
